PETHOME: CREATING A SHOPIFY STORE TO DIGITIZE AN ALREADY WELL-ESTABLISHED PET RETAIL BRAND

INTRODUCING THE PETHOME SHOPIFY STORE

With PetHome, the challenge wasn't just about putting a catalog online. We needed to build a Shopify store capable of giving real digital power to a brand already physically present, with a broad ambition: to become a strong player in pet food, accessories, and services, all while creating a natural link between its network of stores and e-commerce.

A Shopify store that gives PetHome a true brand stature, effectively links physical and digital retail, and lays a solid foundation for accelerating growth in a highly competitive market.

Above all, this project required structure. The PetHome offering covers multiple needs, various product types, and a customer relationship that extends far beyond a one-time purchase. The store was therefore designed as a foundation capable of organizing this richness without creating friction, with clear navigation, quick access to key categories, and an offering simple enough to effectively guide both new visitors and returning customers.

One of the project's major objectives was to establish a natural repeat purchase logic, essential in a market where many products are part of daily life. The possibility of delivery via a subscription system therefore had to be integrated into the customer journey in an obvious way, without complicating the experience. The idea was not just to sell, but to make the customer's life easier, while strengthening the store's recurrence and long-term value.

The visual identity also had to play a central role. PetHome needed a lively, warm, and engaging site, capable of expressing a joyful universe without losing readability or credibility. The design work therefore sought the right balance between accessibility, commercial attractiveness, and a perception of seriousness, to give the brand a strong, immediately identifiable, and much more impactful digital presence.

Another essential point: to establish the link between the online store and the many existing physical points of sale. Shopify was not to function as an isolated channel, but as the natural extension of a broader ecosystem. The entire site design was therefore conceived to reinforce this continuity between physical presence and digital experience, with a journey capable of supporting discovery, purchase, loyalty, and a close relationship.

Finally, the store was designed to remain simple to manage daily. Beyond the brand's ambition, a clear, logical, and easily usable tool was also needed so that the team could gain autonomy and maintain the platform without operational burden.
